CASE STUDY

Context: The company is struggling with wide variation in time tracking among new remote employees. They are also struggling with unnecessary communication about time off. Given the employee manual, an onboarding video, and an interview with the CEO, I performed a Needs Analysis. I determined some potential issues: a different time tracking style from employees who are used to freelance work, fear of using the Harvest app, and a lack of clear guidelines regarding reporting time off.

Challenges: The current employee manual is not organized in a manner that flows from one section to the next and helps employees to understand why the agency's guidelines are in place.

Solutions: This storyboard reimagines sections of the employee manual, and adds new necessary guidelines and material that close gaps in performance for employees.

Results: The desired results are that employees will develop more uniform time-tracking habits, communicate about time off of work only if needed, and request time using Justworks without asking for help from HR.
